I was wondering for days what those weird red streaks on my foolscap papers and notes were until I realised today that they are from my nail polish. -_-|
No wonder there seem to be new streaks every time I look at my notes. And I thought something creepy was going on.

Anyway, I realised I just can't seem to get enough sleep the past few weeks. It's like I can ONLY sleep 4-5 hours every night. There's just simply no time for me to sleep more, no matter how hard I try to carve out more time. Strange, I didn't seem to have this problem the previous semesters.

Ok, so that's two realisations today, everyone.
Gotta go back to work!

Gerontophobia

I've got Gerontophobia.
Fear of growing old. Stop please, time.
I am halfway in but I really don't want to enter adulthood.
I will no longer be a teenager in slightly under 2 years.
Scary, scary thought.

If only there's a time machine to bring me back to childhood, to when I was around 8 years old.
Life then seemed much better then.
But I am probably just viewing the past with rose tinted glasses. The past always seems much better doesn't it?
I think I am more afraid of becoming a worthless adult than growing old though.
I am afraid of becoming a person that leads a mediocre life, doesn't accomplish anything remarkable and then passes away with few caring.
But I suppose that description fits many people in the world, since not everyone can be Steve Jobs or MJ after all.

Anyway, I was watching a music video on youtube and saw a comment someone had written in reply to another person, who wrote that he hates being a teenager because he feels that he's still a kid inside when everyone around him is changing.

Here's the comment:
"Well my friend, don't worry about being a kid, I remember a phrase from a mexican writer named Jose Emilio Pacheco that says "There's no adults, only aged kids". So try to enjoy your life as you were a kid as long as posible. Greetings from Mexico." - bobocafe2

This did cheer me up a little, maybe I'll keep thinking of myself as an aged kid then. :)

-

After having short hair for a month, I have concluded that I don't look too good in short hair. Then again, I don't look good in long hair either. The fault lies with my hair, that's my final conclusion. I have inferior hair genes! Stupid post is stupid.

Realised I posted exactly 1 month after my last post. One month since I cut my hair!
Will my life ever change?
Right now it feels like it will keep going on at this pace forever. The future feels so predictable.
Something new please, life!
The real stuff isn't here.

AHHHHHH.
I am about to burst.
Burst from the pressure of life.

Short hair

I am now a short haired girl.
I didn't mean to be one but it turned out that way.
I GOT A HAIRCUT!!! My hair is now officially in the short category.
This is the first time ever in the 18 years of my life I have short hair .
Actually about 15 years to be precise, cos my last memory of having short hair is when I was 3.
I already have hair that can be tied by the time I was in nursery (4).
This is so weird. I keep running my fingers through my hair and keep getting a little surprised each time my fingers touched air at my neck area.
I don't hate it but I don't love it either.... yet.
I kept the hair that the hairstylist snipped off. She tied my hair into a ponytail and just cut the whole ponytail off. Cool.
I was really fascinated with that cut off ponytail when she handed it to me. HAHA

Of Blood and Serious Matters

Haven't blogged for awhile because I was/am lazy, and I am a little embarrassed because my period actually brought about the motivation for this post. My life is so boring that the only exciting thing happening to me is getting my menses.

HAH. Anyway, the story is, I just got it today and I am torn over if I should be happy or disappointed.
Happy is because whoo!!! I am going overseas on the 26th and by then my period should have ended. Cuz no one likes to take care of a bleeding uterus on a vacation. Plus my skin gets really horrible about a week before the start of my menses (it usually is already horrible but it gets worse right before) so this means that I am not going to wake up to horribly embarrassing skin again for the next 3 weeks!!
BUT. I am going to Marina Bay Sands for a stay on Sunday (thanks to yuenjie heh heh) and I was looking forward to swimming in the infinity pool.
This new situation means no more infinity pool :( :( :( ARGH. So frustrating. Never mind, I will just go and dip my toes and fingers into the pool. And enjoy the view woot.

Today is results day by the way. For NP students, not so sure about the other polys though.
My gpa's 3.70 for this sem, but my cumulative is still an ok sounding but average-y 3.46. My previous cumulative gpa was 3.36, which means I only improved by 0.1 grade point. I've calculated and I will never hit a cumulative gpa of 3.70 ever even if I get 4.0 every semester for the rest of my poly life. If I'm not wrong, to get into business courses in local universities, poly grads need at least a gpa of 3.7+. I am doomed. DOOMED!! All thanks to the C+ I got for Life Management Skills last sem. Which was 4 credit points. 4 credit points for such a nonsense module, glad that it's now axed. Lucky Year 1s. And also thanks to the few Bs I got for some modules the previous semesters, Bs that I know could be B pluses or As if I worked a little harder. In conclusion, all thanks to myself.

AAHHH forget it, all these problems can be solved by committing suicide. KIDDING! I won't ever commit suicide even if my gpa is 0.1. Everyone please do not commit suicide or even contemplate committing suicide over academic stuff. So not worth it. So so not worth it. At least go on a world tour first. My dream is to go on a world tour alone. Yeah, someday I will earn millions every year and go on 6 month long world tours every 6 months.

HEHEHEHEHEHEHE. I was really smiling when typing that out. An 18 year old can dream right?
